Round Rugs

Round rugs break up strict floor plans and work well where no rectangular area is created: under a round dining table, in a reading nook, in the entrance area. As a rule of thumb, the diameter should extend about 60 cm beyond the table so that chairs remain on the rug when pushed back. For each rug, you will find information on pile material, pile height, and origin.

Which size fits under a round dining table?

Table ≥ 60 cm
The golden rule: when a chair is pulled back, all four legs must still stand on the rug — add at least 60 cm on every side of the table.
  • Rug size = table size + at least 60 cm on every side (75 cm is ideal).
  • Choose a low pile or flat weave — chairs slide far more easily.
  • Rectangular table, rectangular rug; round table, round rug.
